Taking a BOLD Approach to Marketing Talent

The ACG Minnesota BOLD Awards showcase the best in corporate growth and the leaders who have had to make bold bets on behalf of their companies. Marcomm is honored to be among the finalists for this award in 2023! About the BOLD Awards The ACG Minnesota BOLD Awards honor and recognize innovation, inspirational moves, bold visions and leaders that have made bold moves to positively grow, restructure or enhance their companies for the benefit of all stakeholders. Leaders and their teams will be recognized for their imagination, innovation and extraordinary efforts to grow Minnesota. Organizations may be nominated for a BOLD Award in one of the following six categories:
  • Not for Profit
  • Early Stage (less than $5 million)
  • Small and Growing ($5-$20 million)
  • Middle Market ($20-$250 million)
  • Large and Established ($250 million +)
  • Start-Ups
This year’s nominees were announced in December 2022; three finalists in each category were selected in early February. Winners will be announced at the 2023 BOLD Awards Gala on Tuesday, February 28 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Minneapolis Event Centers. The 2023 BOLD Awards Gala is open to the public and is a great place for professionals to network with some of today’s most inspiring business leaders and their teams. How is Marcomm BOLD?

Marcomm was nominated for the ACG BOLD award for its innovation in launching the Fractional Marcomm ExecutionTM service model. Rolled out in late 2020—as the global COVID-19 pandemic was in full swing—it was designed to help companies struggling to fill their marketing talent gaps when traditional hiring or contract staffing options aren’t in the cards. It gives companies the flexibility to tap into Marcomm’s own team of in-house experts, with specialties ranging from high-level marketing strategy to creative execution.

According to Chief Revenue Officer Jamie Simpson, Marcomm’s 30-year success with connecting companies to great marketing talent stems from its human-centric approach.

Karen Stejskal, Director of Fractional Marketing at Marcomm, says this model is particularly helpful for small businesses and fast-growing companies that need to tackle a variety of marketing projects—but aren’t necessarily in the position to hire an internal marketing team.
