Sr. Marketing Communications Content Manager (contract to hire)

This person will manages and coordinates the activities and operations of the marketing communications and content department and staff; develops and executes marketing, customer and internal communications initiatives and production of marketing and sales materials.

Job Function:

  • Conducts, analyzes, and interprets market segment/industry/future market trends and competitive market offerings to ensure company differentiation
  • Assists in the development of marketing programs and promotional materials
  • Develops, executes, and manages customer and internal and external communications strategy, associated plan, and key messages
  • Reviews and analyzes results of each initiative; develops and executes changes to improve effectiveness.
  • Oversees update of company website content to ensure web content is on-strategy, consistent with corporate identity guidelines, and regularly updated
  • Partners with internal functional groups to ensure integrated marketing communications activities including but not limited to sales collateral (both printed and electronic), direct marketing, public relations, and event marketing
  • Reviews and approves all communications; edits all marketing communications
  • Assists with development and maintenance of consistent corporate image throughout all marketing and promotional materials and product lines
  • Develop and execute on long-term content marketing strategy and set short-term goals that results in scalable and ever-improving communications 
  • Develop editorial calendar and ensure deadlines are met 
  • Develop, Edit, proofread and improve content 
  • Develop Social Media strategy
  • Deliver immaculate communications in all avenues (branded collateral, web copy, social media, blog, presentations, award applications, etc.) 
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and communications teams to ensure alignment on key messages 
  • Optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics 
  • Keep up with current event content trends, research similar organizations’ and shows’ event content, and make recommendations related to this research as appropriate 
  • Ensure all external communications adhere to brand standards and are aligned with strategic objectives 
  • Work closely with customer-facing teams to develop and nurture relationships with customer contacts, and craft effective outgoing messages 
  • Prepare reports and determine metrics for ensuring effectiveness of content strategy 
  • Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops marketing communications staff; manages schedules and workflow
  • Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent
  • Five years related experience or equivalent
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
  • Proven leadership and business acumen skills
  • Ability to direct and recommend cost-effective creative solutions
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
