UX Designer – Visual Designer

MARCOMM Inc. is looking to hire a UX Designer/Visual Designer

Overview:

The UX Designer/Visual Designer responsible for designing effective and brand appropriate online applications for a variety of corporate-owned web properties. Works with team(s) to deliver strong concepts, designs, and management of production of assigned creative deliverables.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Creative development of internal and external corporate web sites
  • Handling concepts, wireframes, compositions and development of creative executions, leveraging brand assets (look, tone, manner) for interactive medium
  • Strategically developing ideas from wireframes into creative online applications
  • Create presentations for review by management and various internal clients
  • Enthusiasm for working collaboratively in a creative team environment
  • Team and self-management skills
  • Prepare project status reports
  • Desire to work in a high-pressure, demanding environment
  • Contribute to coaching and leadership for organizing production for content design work as completed by team members Responsible for procuring/training Information Architect contractors

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Design or strong work equivalent
  • 2-5 years experience in designing for interactive web environments
  • Macintosh and Windows Operating Systems experience
  • Superior creative skills in the Adobe suite of design tools
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new processes and design concepts as the landscape of interactive shifts and grows
  • Possess resourceful problem-solving skills in order to provide ad-hoc solutions
  • Possess a base understanding of the development efforts required to deliver the designs being prescribed
  • Collaborate with web developers, project managers, and marketing staff
  • Design strategically in partnership with Information Architects, copywriters, and other UX team members against stated business goals and requirements

Preferred

  • Strong sense of design, typography and photography
  • Ability to be strategic in viewing project requirements
  • Ability to concept, execute and manage brand/trends to creative solutions
  • Ability to manage multi-faceted interactive projectscampaigns and deliver cohesive end product
  • Organized, detail-oriented, efficient, responsible and personable
  • Self-starter who has the capability and desire to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Design skills as demonstrated in a portfolio of interactive projects
  • Familiarity with brand and products
  • Creative copywriting skills and e-commerce experience a plus
