Marketing Account Specialist

Marcomm Inc. is looking to hire a Marketing Account Specialist 

The Marketing Account Specialist  is responsible for developing and managing project timelines. Ideal candidate is a self-starter that possesses strong business acumen, excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment and execution with large teams. This candidate approaches project obstacles with an agile, entrepreneurial mindset and an unwavering “can-do” attitude that rallies team members to move work forward.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive, end-to-end project management support, reporting and manager visibility to Brand projects (brand campaigns, events, and business-sponsored projects) that are large in scope and complexity
  • Leverage collaborative project management tools to enable real-time visibility and tracking across Brand initiatives, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, meet strategic objectives and fall within approved scope and budget parameters
  • Act as key liaison with agency partners and cross-functional teams in the management and coordination of project timelines, budgets, dependencies, role clarity, deliverables, and issue resolution to ensure project quality and success
  • Develop and maintain oversight of third-party SOWs and service delivery, partnering effectively with Brand lead, Sourcing and Legal to ensure agreements accurately reflect business needs
  • Facilitate the execution of on-time, high-quality deliverables by raising visibility of priority project statuses and deadlines, supporting project-specific budget needs (SOWs, PO creation, invoice submissions, etc.)
  • Leverage creative campaign development expertise, business savvy and critical thinking skills to proactively problem-solve and manage interdependencies when operating in ambiguous circumstances
  • Lead and/or contribute to continuous business process improvement efforts to help streamline and standardize overarching Brand team and individual project workflows, communication, and resource efficiencies
  • Manage Brand team budget forecast, day-to-day management, and leadership updates, with input from Brand leads on project-specific budgets
  • Operate as key point of contact for all Corporate Brand-developed creative assets; including but not limited to responding to asset requests, tracking usage rights and renewals

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) year’s experience as a Project Manager working with brand management, marketing, or advertising teams in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Experience working with collaborative project tools for timeline development, project status/tracking, budget tracking and detail, document sharing, and real-time team communication in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with demonstrated ability to resolve project issues using sound, data-driven judgement
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience managing concurrent integrated marketing campaigns that require extensive and effective cross-functional, intra-agency and stakeholder
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of Project Management principles and methodology
  • Demonstrated experience project managing the development of multi-faceted consumer advertising campaigns
  • Multi-tasking self-starter who is hyper-organized, detail-oriented and highly accountable, yet flexible and collaborative
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt or evolve own viewpoints and recommendations to create “winwin solutions” that address stakeholder needs and/or changes in strategic direction
  • Ability to grasp big picture strategy and executional detail, while anticipating the downstream impact of project challenges/obstacles
  • Demonstrated confidence, comfort and experience in leading large team meetings
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build and foster strong relationships within teams, across departments and with external partners
  • Challenges the status quo, champions continuous improvement, and inspires others to do the same
  • CPG background or experience a plus
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Creative full-service agency experience a plus
