Global Training Development Manager (contract to hire)

The person selected for the position will supports our client’s Food Safety division by growing food safety sales efficiency through the creation of training and development programs, sales effectiveness tools and measurement. This individual will work closely with global marketing, application engineering and area leadership to improve sales effectiveness and accelerate adoption of corporate methods.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Drives organizational sales & technical proficiency development to expand understanding of food safety industry and global sales effectiveness in support
  • Leads global training development including identification and coordination of new training materials, curriculum development, global deployment of materials and skills assessment
  • Partners with global marketing, application engineering, marketing center and area leadership on the creation of new sales education and training programs to strengthen customer facing skills and drive accelerated adoption of corporate methods
  • Measures and drives improvement programs for key sales improvement metrics: sales rep proficiency, opportunity to closed/won rate and average close time (sales cycle)
  • Aligns with area marketing teams on the deployment, management and coordination of area sales training
  • Supports division sales and marketing excellence needs where appropriate including consistency and standards for sales targeting, pipeline, campaign tracking and reporting

Your Skills and Expertise:

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
  • Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience in sales, marketing, technical service, and/or other similar business functional areas

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience developing and executing training and development plans
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to convey information clearly and facilitate learning by diverse audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with sales, technical, subject matter experts, and sales leadership
  • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills with an ability to assess materials and programs to identify where changes and improvements can be made
  • Experience working in a global business with ability to work with individuals from different cultures and experience levels
  • Experience driving cross-functional teams to develop and execute program
