Global Marketing Communications Strategist (Contract/Contract to Perm)


The Global Marketing Communications Strategist is responsible for supporting the development end-to-end global communications, creative and content plan aligned to business priorities. The ideal candidate understands the customer, applying communication strategies that improve the customer experience and is squarely focused on the entire marketing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Applies end-to-end messaging strategy to develop creative and content plans aligned to global marketing programs that generate customer demand
  • Supports communication strategies and development of tactics for portfolio activity
  • Leverages competitive, customer, market and brand health insights to inform communications strategies and tactics
  • Reinforces the brand promise by linking personas, customer journey and experiences through communications plans
  • Tests, tracks, optimized and measures communications effectiveness
  • Implements strategies across paid, earned and owned channels
  • Communicates and consults with global counterparts to drive successful program activation and outcomes for key prioritized countries
  • Manages and directs agency partners
  • Collaborates with functional partners and subject matter experts to collaboratively develop plans and programs
  • Manage budgets as set forth by program development and execution plan
  • Provide on-going program development or maintenance based on emerging trends or performance results during program activation
  • Identify best practices and shared learnings for function and area optimization
  • External communications (partnering with agencies and cross functional teams from an approval standpoint)

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting the development end-to-end global communications, creative and content plans aligned to business priorities
  • Experience executing a detailed tactical communications and content plan within a regulated industry
  • Strong project management experience working closely and diplomatically with internal and external teams, managing tight timetables and multiple large projects simultaneously
  • Strong written, verbal and digital communication skills and experience for all media platforms
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, deadline-focused and agile mindset with strong skills in multi-tasking
  • Strategic and creative mindset
  • Exceptional inter-personal skills, including presentation skills, as well as effective and persuasive pitching, writing, editing and verbal communication within a matrixed organization
  • Agency experience a plus

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in a related field such as Communications, Marketing, Marketing Communications, Journalism, Advertising or Public Relations
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of related job experience 
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Customer-centric mindset combined with contagious enthusiasm, passion and curiosity
  • Healthcare or regulatory industry experience is ideal
  • Agency experience would be fantastic
