CRM Sr. Director

This is a direct hire position with our client Independent Pet Partners.  Minneapolis/St. Paul candidates strongly preferred. 

We are seeking an energetic, collaborative, strong communicator that is results-driven. You must be a natural leader who thrives in a rapidly changing environment, are curious and have the vision to develop both short- and long-term multi-channel marketing strategies that will revolutionize the way in which the brands engage customers. You must have strong analytical skills, story-telling, and having a passion for our product and service offerings as well as the experience and know how to engage and excite customers while driving sales.

Responsibilities

· ‘Speak’ (live and breathe) email and help the team learn how to incorporate best practices into all planning, decisions, and execution – from creative to segmentation to deliverability.

· Create and own the content calendar for CRM while partnering with the rest of the Marketing team and Analytics for higher-level roadmap planning.

· Conduct deeper customer analytics review.

· Own and oversee the daily execution of our email program to include building emails, creating segmentation strategies, tagging links, A/B tests, scheduling deployments and quality assurance.

· Be our email tool expert – update images and content quickly and easily across all brands; stay up to date on enhancements and new features.

· Segment lists based on behaviors like past email engagement, website interactions, shopping history, customer lifecycle and lifetime value.

· Leverage data to power better customer messaging & experiences – from triggered emails to real-time content personalization.

· Define experimentation roadmap and test and learn strategies for optimization.

· Partner with marketing team members to create and evolve our email templates, driving a mobile first approach.

· Write effective creative briefs that include campaign objectives, messaging hierarchy and target audience.

· Increase email list growth for long-term CRM health and pipeline.

· Be organized and judicious about deadlines, working with the team to ensure they are as well.

· Determine email marketing KPIs, set benchmarks and goals.

· Analyze and interpret results from campaigns and share learnings with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement of campaigns.

· Responsible for the company’s core digital strategy and oversee the growth of all key digital marketing channels that drive traffic to the site.

· Develop the long range, annual and seasonal marketing activities to support the digital omni-channel across brand banners.

· Partner with marketing teams to drive necessary digital, store creative assets and storytelling in support of the business goals. Partner with Merchants to drive the seasonal asset creation process to ensure that all required assets are delivered to serve the needs of the business.

· Partner and provide leadership to counterparts on evaluation and development of company performance marketing strategies to support company’s long-term growth strategies.

· Drive the vision for marketing investment strategies both online and in stores.

· Engage the organization in managing customer relationships and leveraging customer insight to drive revenue through all channels.

· Partner closely with the internal and external business partners to ensure that the brand communication strategy aligns with the investments that are being made. Measure the success through defined metrics and identify opportunities to increase customer engagement so that the Company can achieve its goals.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred – in the field of business, marketing, or data science.

· 5+ years of management experience leading teams in effective execution of marketing campaigns along with the ability to manage, engage, mentor, and retain team

· 7+ years of retail, brand management, direct-to-consumer marketing, email marketing/ CRM, eCommerce, retail, digital technologies, trends, and loyalty program experience required

· Hands-on experience with email campaign management tools such as Cheetah Digital, Clutch, Salesforce.

· Passionate about CRM and providing a well-honed customer experience through best-in-class marketing communication, which reflects your focus on operational excellence and ongoing program evolution.

· Comfortable oscillating between big-picture strategy and in-the-weeds execution.

· Organized and highly attentive to detail with high standards of quality.

· Adaptable to different working styles, mindsets, and personalities, showcasing a willingness to collaborate with all.

· Proven track record of converting data-driven analytics to gain consumer insights, drive targeted digital campaigns, optimize user experience, and drive conversion.

· Hands on experience in designing and driving digital campaigns using channels such as paid and natural search, social, mobile, email display, affiliate and retargeting.

· Ability to think strategically, drive results, build a high-performance organization, continuously drive innovation and inspire the organization to achieve and exceed its objectives

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate complicated concepts and recommended courses of action to engage diverse audiences and influence senior executives.

· Passionate about CRM and providing a well-honed customer experience through best-in-class marketing communication, which reflects your focus on operational excellence and ongoing program evolution.

· Excited to define experiments to consistently test, iterate, share, repeat.
