Change Management Communications Specialist

This is a remote, long-term contract (12+ month) position.

As a Change Management Communications Specialist within the HR Transformation project team, you will make an impact through the development and execution of communications plans and tactics to effectively share HR Transformation strategy and initiatives, enhance change adoption to maximize employee adoption and usage, and minimize resistance through:

  • Developing a communications strategy and plan to compliment the organizational change management strategy and overall project roadmap.
  • Managing the development and execution of communications materials through a variety of approaches, constantly reviewing effectiveness, and improving approach.
  • Supporting the project team and HR leadership to develop stakeholder outreach and engagement efforts to obtain awareness, understanding, buy-in, and support.
  • Managing evolving project communication standards and governance approach and process.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Coordination and Project Management

  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Manage the execution of communications (e.g. fact sheets, instructional guides, presentations, etc.) through a variety of approaches (intranet, email, digital signs, print materials, etc.)
  • Partner cross-functionally with colleagues to ensure communications campaigns are completed on on-time
  • Partner across the project team by providing training and mentoring to project team on communication tactics to increase adoption of project deliverables and influencing project timelines

Communications Planning

  • Develop communication materials for company leaders, employees and HR colleagues
  • Support the execution of comprehensive plans to achieve communication goals
  • Participate in the measurement process to support continuous learning and identification of best practices


  • Write key messages and compelling communications, including articles, emails, intranet content and talking points for presentations
  • Convey the value of the company’s HR transformation effort through clear, engaging messages

PowerPoint Creation

  • Create and edit PowerPoint presentations and graphics
  • Work with designer on more complex graphic design needs as required

Your skills and expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, we are looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
  • Minimum 5 years of communications experience in a Communications, Organizational Change Management, Journalism, Marketing, Branding and/or Advertising role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and Word
  • Proficient in using different communication platforms (e.g., web-based content, streaming video, etc.)
  • Strong editorial skills, including grammar, spelling, punctuation and working knowledge of AP style
